Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man begins six months after the events of Ultimatum, and New York City is beginning to recover from Magneto's attack. The Daily Bugle is no longer being published and Peter Parker is now working at Burger Frog, a fast food restaurant. Gwen Stacy is living with him again.

Later, an exhausted Johnny Storm arrives at Peter's house and passes out at the front door. Meanwhile, the Kingpin is revealed to be alive and now absolved of his past crimes, due to much of the evidence against him being lost.Mysterio soon appears in the Kingpin's office and proceeds to push him out of a window

Tron The Betrayal #1

Release Date: October 2010

Movie adaptations and tie-ins are nothing new to the world of comics, but lately we’ve been seeing a new trend of licensed titles that serve as prequels to the movies they are promoting. This is a shrewd marketing tool, as it helps generate interest in the movie without giving away any of the main plot and storyline. This month brings us one such prequel, which is also the first major collaboration between Marvel Comics and their new owners, Disney. The book is a two-part prequel to the upcoming Tron: Legacy, and the strength of the first issue successfully did its job of making me interested in seeing the movie, which I had previously been on the fence about.

New Avengers v2 #4

New Avengers v2 #4

Release Date Sept 9th 2010

New York is overrun by demons after the weakening of the mystical barriers between dimensions and, apparently, the Ancient One is behind it all? Color me surprised, but also impressed since this debut arc of the relaunched “New Avengers” continues to impress with lots of action as the team is in over its head, a fact that only Spider-Man seems aware of, while even the collective knowledge of Dr. Strange, Dr. Voodoo, and Daimon Hellstrom can’t figure out who is responsible for this incursion. This issue focuses on the action more than anything, creating a fun issue with lots of stunning visuals courtesy of Stuart Immonen and an ending that’s just as shocking as last issue’s.
